On Friday 10 April 2026, The SU Board of Trustees called a referendum on The SU's affiliation to NUS UK. The question wording was: Should The SU Bath be affiliated to the National Union of Students UK (NUS UK)?
All current student members had the opportunity to vote Yes, No or Abstain via online ballot between Wednesday 22 April and Monday 27 April.
Turnout: 6% (1337)
Result:
Yes – 24.08% (332)
No - 73.37% (981)
Abstain – 2.54% (34)
The SU will therefore be leaving NUS UK from January 2027.
