The UoB Opera Society is a welcoming and creative space for anyone interested in discovering opera. We aim to make opera accessible, inclusive and fun for everyone. 🎶
There are plenty of ways to get involved, both on and off stage. Sing, act and perform in our productions and recitals, develop your skills through masterclasses and workshops, or get involved behind the scenes with directing, design and production.
And you don't have to sing to be part of the Opera Society! If you love watching opera, join us for socials and trips to see local opera productions, or simply come along to meet other students who share an interest in music, theatre and performance!
So whether you’re here to perform, create, learn, watch, socialise, or simply investigate why people are still so passionate about this art form… there's something for you!
No previous experience required - whether your arias are already stage-ready, you want to try something completely new, or simply want to find out what all the drama is about, come along and get involved! 🎭✨
