Competitive Touch

Touch Rugby is a BUCS-affiliated sport, and each year we send multiple teams to represent the university in tournaments across the country. We are proud to be one of the most successful university touch rugby clubs, placing first overall in 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2022. We finished 2nd in 2025 - and we're aiming even higher next season!

Throughout the year, we also play in friendly tournaments against other Universities such as Bristol and Cardiff. These fixtures are a great way to develop skills and often end with social events.

Many of the players who represent us have never played touch before coming to Bath - and some have gone on to play for regional sides like the South West Saxons, or even compete internationally!

Social Touch

Touch Rugby is a highly social sport, and each year we welcome a mix of performance and social members. We host weekly social training sessions that are open to all skill levels.

We play locally in the Bath Autumn and Spring Touch League, with fixtures played on Tuesday nights. Teams are selected weekly and we focus on giving new players the opportunity to gain experience in real match settings.

Beyond the pitch, we hold weekly socials ranging from lively nights out to more relaxed socials. We pride ourselves on being a welcoming and inclusive environment for all members, whether they drink or not. Additionally we meet up regularly at Happy Hour at the SU.

Every few years, we also organise an international tour. Previous destinations have included La Rochelle, Alicante, and Barcelona - members of the society will attest that these are unforgettable experiences both on and off the field!
