• Set clear objectives and desired outcomes for making change
• Demonstration of Impact
• Provided a platform for students from under-represented communities.

The Panel are looking for a group that made all students feel welcome, reflecting the diverse demographics of the student body, for eg nationality, gender, Things to consider would be whether any barriers were removed to enable all students to participate, how the group marketed their offer so as to reach the wider student body or any information sessions that raised awareness of a certain topic.

This award recognises an individual or group who has made an exceptional contribution to their hall's community. The panel are looking for nominees who have: 

• Gone above and beyond to support and uplift the halls community 
• Influenced positive change to enhance the living environment for their peers 
• Organised community‑building events that bring residents together 
• Taken actions that improve the overall halls experience for everyone 

The Panel are looking for an group or individual who has enhanced the Postgraduate experience through either:  

• Hosting a range of activities or events   
• Raising awareness or led campaigns on Postgraduate issues
• Supported Postgraduates through a mentoring or buddy scheme
• Going above and beyond in a leadership position to support Postgraduates

This award is in honour of Rob Tyrell, Activities Officer 2020/2021.

The Panel are looking for someone who has:  
 

• Gone beyond the call of duty throughout their University career  
• Thrown themselves into SU activities and are likely to have been involved in multiple areas and made lasting impressions 
• Prompt and effective communication with SU staff     
• Been a dependable, reliable and supportive student who encourages others to shape their community and help them belong
