Due to popular demand, we're excited to introduce weekly sitting volleyball sessions! Sitting volleyball is a very challenging Paralympic sport that provides a workout in addition to volleyball skill development. We are confident that we provide great coaching and a welcoming, competitive atmosphere. We will be looking to provide regular matches with nearby teams too! You don't have to have played before, in-fact there are no prerequisites, so come along, and get involved!
Competitive Sitting Volleyball
Led by performance team coaches, University of Bath Volleyball club will be running regular sitting volleyball sessions with the aim of forming a new performance team. The sessions will focus on skill and tactical development, culminating in matches and tournaments throughout the year. Volleyball england state that competitive sitting volleyball is not solely for those with disabilities, and that standing volleyball players can also play in all national competitions.
Recreational Sitting Volleyball
Teaming up with Bath Active, our recreational coaching team will be running sessions designed to give you an introduction to the sport and hone your volleyball skills. These will be relaxed sessions, with a focus on skill-based games and enjoyment!
With thanks to Wessex water for their generous support of this initiative!
