Recreational Volleyball

Our recreational offer has been recognised as one of the best in the UK! We are funded by Volleyball England as part of the HEVO initiative. Your HEVO officer this year is Lewi White! Feel free to message us on our Facebook page for any Rec related questions or feedback!

Recreational volleyball aims to give you the perfect introduction to volleyball. Last season we hosted 3 lunchtime sessions and 1 morning session per week introducing players to new skills, playing skill-based games, and giving you the chance to use these in competitive volleyball matches! We have experienced players and coaches running the sessions. They are around to provide group and individual training, so come say hi!

Rec sessions are free for all University of Bath students!

We provide fantastic progression opportunties with some of our rec players getting as far as the first team! Part of this is our development squad (our women's and men's 3rd teams), where the best performing players in rec are invited to train and play competitive games with performance team members.

Every year, we host a huge neon volleyball social for all members of the club, where we have a blackout in Founders hall, get some UV lights, neon paint, music and get everyone playing. It's awesome!

As well as weekly training sessions, members can join our weekly recreational sitting volleyball sessions, where you can learn more about this exciting paralympic sport (and get a great upper body workout)! During the summer we head to the university's beach volleyball courts where we teach the basics of beach and host some fun rec tournaments!

As a recreational player, you get the opportunity to play volleyball with loads of people of a similar level. You'll be a member of a family-like club with incredible, varied socials and you'll have the opportunity to develop at a pace that suits you! Our sessions are relaxed and the people are awesome, so don't be shy, come along and bring your friends!
