What We Do
We are a club for all abilities, from those who have never heard of weightlifting / powerlifting before or never picked up a barbell, to those who aspire to compete at the highest level. We are a great club who welcomes everyone, so come and give it a try!
We run beginner, intermediate and advanced sessions in both Olympic Weightlifting and Powerlifting, so we are able to cater for all abilities and both of these wonderful sports. With expert coaches at your fingertips, aiming to improve your technique and increase your strength. We hope to get more people entered into competitions throughout the year, both for experience and those hoping to qualify for National competitions, such as BUCS.

We welcome all abilities, and everybody is welcome. Beginners, come along! You may not know it yet, but you might find a new passion in weightlifting and/or powerlifting that you never knew you had. So why not give it a try? And for those of you who participate in another sport, we can help you improve your technique for strength and conditioning sessions. Team Chalk can help you increase your strength and power, confidence and, most importantly, have fun in an inclusive and supportive atmosphere. We can't wait to welcome you to the team!
