CHAIR - JAMIE BRINE

"Jamie here, your chair for this year! I’m a 3rd year comp sci + maths student, and I started weightlifting in my first year here at Bath. Since joining Team Chalk I’ve competed 4 times, made countless PBs, and had a blast doing it. You’ll often catch me in Gym 2 slamming a bar around and should come say hi; who wouldn’t want to be part of the strongest friend group in Bath? Drop me a DM if you have any questions about our club or just fancy a chat, and I hope to see you at one of our sessions soon :)"

TREASURER - ANDREA FERRANTI

"Hi, I am Andrea this year’s Treasurer. I am 3rd year Biochemistry student and an avid powerlifter, with squats being the best lift. As treasurer I will be looking over the club’s finances and making sure we can fund as many activities as possible."

SECRETARY - ALEX GRANT

"Hello, I'm Alex. I am a Maths and Physics undergraduate, and this year's secretary for Team Chalk.

I got into lifting 2 years ago due to my admiration for many lifters, and a desire to get bigger and stronger. I have competed as a bench only competitor, including at the British and English Benchpress championships.

It will be brilliant to see new lifters getting into the sport and help guide them towards competing, hopefully finding success within the sport and Team Chalk"

SOCIAL SECRETARY - BEAU POINTING

"Hey! I’m Beau, Team Chalk’s social sec for this year! I’m a second year international management and French student. My interest in lifting started during lockdown but really grew when I joined Team Chalk, I’m yet to compete but I’d love to soon. I can’t wait to organise our socials and have a super fun year with you guys!"

POWERLIFTING CAPTAIN - KATY WHITE

"I'm Katy, a final-year sports management & coaching student, and your powerlifting captain for 2023/24!

I've been powerlifting for over 2 years now and since joining Team Chalk, have competed 5 times, including going to BUCS (uni nationals) with the team. I can't wait to introduce more lifters to the team and the excitement of competing, and hopefully we can take an even bigger team to BUCS and junior nats this year!

Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions about Team Chalk or powerlifting generally"

WEIGHTLIFTING CAPTAIN - NIALL BYRNE

"Hi, I am a second year sport and exercise science student from Worcester. I started weightlifting competitively at uni after playing football all my life. We've got a great group of lifters returning from last year and I'm really excited to welcome any new lifters that are interested in learning the sport or competing on our team."
