More Study Space

Extra study space has been secured! There are now over 1250 spaces on campus and in the city which you can book on LibCal during the revision and exam period.

This is great news and thank you to our Academic Reps who have been raising concerns about study space to us, particularly around the need for quiet, individual study space during revision and the exam period. If you come across a building that is due to be open for bookable study space and can't access it please call security who should be able to let you in.

The Library is open 24/7

The Virgil Building is open 8am to 10pm (Monday to Friday) and 10am to 10pm (Saturday and Sunday).

Norwood House is open 8am to 10pm (Monday to Friday)

6 West South is open 8:15am to 10pm (Monday to Sunday)

Chancellors’ Building is open 8:15am to 10pm (Monday to Sunday)

8 West is open 8:15am to 10pm (Monday to Sunday)

10 West L2 is open 8:15am to 10pm (Monday to Sunday)

Lewis House is open 8:15am to 10pm (Monday to Sunday)

Postgraduate only

10 West Levels 4 and 5 open 8:15am until 10pm (Monday to Sunday)

Don’t forget to look after yourselves during revision and exam season!

Check out the Study Well campaign for some fun activities you can take part in as a revision break and where you can access support if needed.

  • Feed the Ducks – Head on over to the Plug and grab a free bag of duck food for a walk and a break by the lake!
  • Stay active and visit the playground! – Next to East Fields there’s a playground that’s been set up so you can hire balls and equipment from the SU and play netball, volleyball, badminton and basketball.
  • Boost your Creativity – Book a pracitise room in the Edge and unleash all your musical talent!
  • Hire a board game!
  • Check out the 5 ways to wellbeing full of lots of different activities for you to get involved in!
