What We Do

The University of Bath Cricket Club offers opportunities for cricketers of all abilities to develop their games and represent the university. We operate three Men's teams; a 1st XI team in the BUCS League, a BUCS development team, a recreational team and one Women’s’ team. We also have an indoor cricket team; ‘Bath Blue Storm’ which plays in a local indoor league to ensure competition over the winter. Whether you like to play recreational cricket or competitively, there is a team for you at Bath. We also have a club wide indoor tournament for all players which is huge amounts of fun and a great day out. With an array of social opportunities as well, Cricket pushes the boundaries so that we meet every student's needs on and off the pitch.

Reasons to Join Us

The University of Bath Cricket Club is one of the biggest clubs in the university with one of the largest student memberships. We provide state of the art facilities and have very close links to Bath CC, one of the biggest and most successful clubs in the country. This allows us to train at their superb indoor facilities and play our BUCS games at Bath CC, providing a very high standard of cricket. We are also fortunate to have a coach from Bath CC, Robert Maggs, who will ensure players at the UBVCC develop and grow as crickets throughout the winter.

Anyone can train at least twice a week (Mondays and Fridays) at Founders Hall and further training slots for BUCS players (Tuesdays and Wednesdays).

We have themed socials every other Wednesday which culminate in attending the on-campus event SCORE! Lots of people attend these as just social members, so you don't have to perform with bat or ball to come. They are always great fun and this year we aim to provide more socials during the semester in addition to these so stay tuned for more details!

Make sure to join our Facebook group, and follow us on Twitter and Instagram to keep up to date with all of the latest happenings at the Cricket Club.
