As an SU, human rights and gender equality are some of our core values and we will continue to support the rights of women and oppressed groups in the breadth of work that we do. We stand for the liberation of oppressed and under-represented groups and respect all those who take action to make our world less violent and more inclusive. Read our full statement here.
Therefore, in response to the ongoing situation and state-sponsored violence in Iran, we are working with a group of passionate students and student groups to organise a demonstration in support of the people of Iran. We have been working with groups such as Amnesty International society, Feminism & Gender Equality, and the University of Bath Arab Society.

We have this room booked between 12:00 and 13:30* on Tuesday 25 October. No need to book, just turn up. First come, first served.
Interested in making a speech?
We will open up the microphone for any students or staff member to say a few words at the second part of our event. So you can just decide on the day if you want to say a few words. However, if you want to get in touch to let us know that you would like to speak in advance. Please email: ideastoaction@bath.ac.uk.
We will be hosting a pre-meeting for any interested speakers so content, themes and chants can be discussed.
Want to show support but can't come along?
We appreciate that not all students will be able to come along, or may not feel comfortable to do so. But don't worry, if you still want your support to be recognised anonymously, you can send in your thoughts via our submission form. This means we can read out your message of support on the day of the event, without sharing your personal details. Submit a message of support here.
