Join us for a trip back in time to Lacock village, cloisters, museum and beautiful grounds.
Tickets go on sale Saturday 1 August at 12:00pm
The Quirky Lacock country house and abbey has monastic roots and an original medieval cloister. It was once home to Henry Fox Talbot, a photographic pioneer. The 'on-site' Fox Talbot museum explores the history of photography and Lacocks role within it. It also hosts changing photography exhibitions, see the most recent here: Unseen Colour by Werner Bischof at Lacock | National Trust .

After Visiting the abbey, take a wander around the beautiful village, nothing has really changed in the last 200 years! There are pubs, a bakery and various local gift shops to explore. The village is so beautiful that it has been the backdrop for many much loved movies. Firstly, HARRY POTTER! You'll find Harry potter's parents' house, Slughorns hideaway, Hogwarts corriders (The cloisters at the abbey) Snape's potion classroom and the Babberton Arms from the the Half-Blood prince (Sign of the Angel pub in Lacock) See more detail here. Lacock also has a Harry potter gift shop for all your souvenir needs.
Other TV and films using lacock as a backdrop include: Downton Abbey, Wolf Hall, Fantastic Beasts, Pride & Predjudice and Cranford.
Lacock has charm, magic and everything a quintessential British village should have, it's well worth a visit!
