Location: Lane 8 in the 50m Pool, Sports Training Village. (other users of the pool will be in other lanes)
If you wish to join a water based Sports Club (canoe, rowing, sailing, surf, windsurf & triathlon) then you are required to complete a swim test.
This swim test will consist of 3 elements:
100m continuous swim within 5 minutes (2 lengths of the STV Pool)
Tread Water in an upright position for 5 minutes immediately after the swim completion
Exit The Water via the plinth at the end of the pool (This is a raised side)
All participants must wear shorts and t-shirt for the whole duration of the test and will be required to sign in with SU Staff on arrival at the poolside
Participants are not permitted to wear goggles (With the exception of those with contact lenses)

All participants will be assessed by an assessor, who will then notify you if you have passed or failed.
