Newbie to Solo
For those who are really passionate about aviation and want to fly independently, we offer a programme with limited spaces.
Applications normally open during September and October. These applications can be quite competitive and you will need to demonstrate a strong passion for aviation and a love for flying! Prior flying experience is not required, but it does help. Extensive hours in flight simulators also counts as experience.
Going solo means you can fly alone, only with the club we are hosted by.
Attendance requirement: If you are on this programme, you are required to register your attendance and attend frequently. We will give up your slot to someone else if you do not. Exceptions can be made.
Solo to SPL
For those who have already gone solo and want to progress further, our affiliated club has multiple members who have achieved their SPL from the UK Civil Aviation Authority and are happy to guide you through obtaining yours.
Having an SPL allows you to fly cross-country and enter gliding competitions across the UK!
Solo requirement: You must have already gone solo with our host club!
SPL or PPL already?
Fill out the application during September and October, and select that you already hold an SPL or PPL.
Prices 💷
You will be charged our affiliate's price. You can get an hour of tuition for under £35, which is far better value than going private!
