Weekly Riding Lessons
Ride with Bath Riding every Wednesday afternoon at Rein and Shine Stables in Swindon 🐴
Our weekly lessons are open to Riding Society members who meet the minimum riding requirement. You don't have to be on a team or compete to join the lessons.
There's also no commitment to ride every week, so you can book as often or as little as you like.
🐴 GROUP LESSONS
Group lessons take place every Wednesday afternoon at Rein and Shine Stables, Swindon.
Lessons can include flatwork, polework and general riding exercises, with riders grouped according to ability.
Group lesson price: £55 per rider
This includes hat and boot hire.
There is currently no discount for booking multiple lessons.
MINIMUM RIDING REQUIREMENT
Unfortunately, Rein and Shine cannot take complete beginners in our university group lessons.
To join a group lesson, you must be able to ride independently at trot as a minimum.
This means you should be able to control the horse without someone leading you from the ground.
Rein and Shine has a maximum rider weight of 12 stone 7 pounds (79kg) in full riding equipment.
Riders may be weighed on arrival at the yard. If you are over the maximum rider weight, you may not be able to participate and may not receive a refund.
Rein and Shine also cannot take riders with excessively long nails, as these can cause injury to both riders and horses.

You can still get involved!
Rein and Shine offers private riding lessons, which are ideal for complete beginners or anyone who would like some extra support before joining our university group sessions.
Private weekday lesson: £76
They also have an Eventing Simulator, which lets you work on your riding without being on a real horse.
It's useful for beginners, riders returning from injury, or more experienced riders who want to work on position and technique in more detail.

HOW TO BOOK A UNIVERSITY GROUP LESSON
We use ECPro to manage our University of Bath riding lessons. Everyone must create an account before booking a lesson.
1. Create your ECPro account.
Visit the Rein and Shine booking website:
rein-and-shine.ecpro.co.uk →
Select Register / Login, then select Register again in the top right-hand corner.
Fill in your details and select Create Account.
2. Email Rein and Shine.
Once you have created your account, email info@reinandshine.co.uk.
In your email, please:
- Let them know that you are a University of Bath student.
- Tell them that you have created an ECPro account.
- Attach a photo of your University of Bath student ID.
3. Rein and Shine will add the University Riding lessons to your account.
The university lessons are private, so they will not automatically appear when you first create your ECPro account.
Once Rein and Shine has verified your student status, they will add the University of Bath riding lessons to your account.
4. Book your lessons through ECPro.
Once the lessons have been added, you will be able to see upcoming University Riding lessons in your ECPro account and book onto them directly.
In short:
Create an ECPro account → Email Rein and Shine with your student ID → Wait for the University lessons to be added → Book directly through ECPro
BEFORE YOUR LESSON
Please arrive at least 20 minutes before your lesson.
You will need time to check in, be allocated your horse and make your way down to the arena. Arriving a little earlier is always recommended.
Rein and Shine has a comfortable waiting area with sofas, so you are very welcome to arrive early and wait there before your lesson.
Please also make sure you read Rein and Shine's refund and cancellation policy before making a booking.
The staff, horses and facilities at Rein and Shine are lovely, so make the most of your lessons and enjoy them! ⭐️

Private lessons and Eventing Simulator sessions can also be booked through the Rein and Shine ECPro booking system.
When booking the simulator, select Simulator from the lesson type options.
