What We Do
UBRFC is one of the largest sports clubs at the University, accommodating seven BUCS teams of varying ability, including a Women’s Union team, a Rugby League team and a Mixed Touch team. The newly established RUSH-D intramural set up provides three extra men’s teams to act as a development squad for our BUCS teams while providing even more students with the opportunity to represent the University.
With top class coaches, facilities and coach and refereeing educational programmes, UBRFC caters for all players, both male and female, from the serious international to those that have never picked up a rugby ball before. We offer opportunities to become involved in all aspects of the game whether as a player, a coach, referee or even just as a social member.

Reasons to Join Us
We are one of the largest clubs on campus, with a range of teams catering for all abilities. So even if you have never touched a rugby ball in your life, or want to test yourself at the highest level univeristy rugby can offer, our club is the place for you!
The calendar kickoffs with our club day on the Wednesday of Freshers week, with the main event being the Bath v Bristol Derby. Other highlights throughout the year include the South West Derby V Exeter and the Varsity day against Cardiff Met.
Matches are played every Wednesday and followed by our club socials in the evening, so you can celebrate or commiserate in style with your teamates.
Whether you're an active member or not, you are very welcome at any time to join in, both on the pitch and off it!
