SUmmit is an opportunity for us to come together to begin to tackle some of the biggest challenges that we face as communities of students at the University of Bath. It could be about the things we need to lobby the University for, policies and practices we need to adopt, or changes we’d like to see in the wider region….anything that matters as we take up our role as active citizens playing our part in the communities we’re part of.
Mental Health SUmmit
In November 2019 The SU and Student Services collaboratively gathered feedback on student mental health from the student community through the Be Well Survey. The SU worked with Student Minds and Nightline and a group of students interested in this area to identify key priorities for students arising from the data (Be Well Survey results) and organised an opportunity for students to come together to discuss further. Following this we held a SUmmit in February as an opportunity for students to come together to discuss further. Following SUmmit a paper has been presented to University senior management and student services to hear their feedback and thoughts about their decisions on the recommendations.

Since holding SUmmit and forming our list of reccomendations based on the feedback gathered, the situation for many students will be different in light of Covid19. So if you have any specific feedback or ideas of support which students may need around mental health please get in touch. Email sucommunity@bath.ac.uk
