The volunteering opportunities detailed below are open to all students, but are appropriate for International Students as they are more flexible, some of the opportunities are linked to our student-led volunteer groups: V Team and RAG.
This is not an exhaustive list, but gives a more tailored approach to the types of volunteering that are available to you as an International Student.

To help understand the difference between Volunteering and Voluntary Work here is a useful guide.
Volunteering and Voluntary Work
Community Volunteering: There are lots of ways to get involved with the local community, both individually and with your friends. The easiest way to find volunteering opportunities is to join one of our student-led volunteer groups, V Team. You could volunteer with older people via our Age UK B&NES projects or with younger people via one of linked charity projects.
Fundraising Volunteering: There are lots of ways to help local and national charities by fundraising, you can either organise your own charity event or join our student-led volunteer group, RAG [Raise and Give]. You could volunteer at the annual Fireworks display, help organise a Zombie Apocolypse event on campus or take part in one of the many other exciting fundraising events and challenges.

Volunteering Opportunities Database: If you are looking for a volunteering opportunity that is more regular or would like to volunteer with a different charity to those that V Team and RAG link with then check out the Volunteering Opportunities Database.
Summer Volunteering - UK & Overseas: If you're interested in volunteering during the Summer, there are many thousands of opportunities for volunteering both at home and abroad. We cannot cover all these possibilities in depth, this information is intended to help you raise the necessary questions to help you make an informed decision.
