Our Club
The University of Bath Cricket Club (UBVCC) offers opportunities for cricketers of all abilities to develop their game and represent the University.
We run five men's teams - including BUCS 1st and 2nd XIs, a competitive development side (3rd XI) and two recreational teams (4th and 5th XI) - plus a women’s XI that plays a mixture of friendly and competitive matches.
Across the club, most fixtures take place on Wednesdays, but due to the shortened university cricket season we play throughout the week to ensure our members can get more game time. We tend not to play at weekends to allow members to play club cricket.

During the winter we have both a men's and women's BUCS indoor cricket team. As well as two indoor cricket teams that play in the Bath Indoor Cricket League. The men's team compete in Division 1, while the mixed side play in Division 2. Fixtures take place at Ralph Allen School on Sunday afternoons and evenings.
Whether you like to play socially or competitively, there is always a team for you at the UBVCC. Spectators, scorers and umpires are always warmly welcomed, and we have a vibrant social calendar that makes sure you can be just as involved as playing members.

Why join UBVCC?
The University of Bath Cricket Club is one of the biggest clubs in the university with one of the largest student memberships. We offer:
- Five men's teams + one women's team
- Quality facilities for training and matchdays at North Parade via close inks with our friends at Bath CC, one of the biggest and most successful clubs in the country
- Coaching from Bath CC for our men's and women's 1st XIs
- Recreational and squad-specific training sessions every week
- Regular socials, varsity events, and mixed club activities
All members can train at least twice a week in our recreational sessions. Every squad then has an allocated time to train in Founders Hall on campus or at Bath CC.
Socials
We have themed socials every Wednesday attended by playing and social members alike. Most of our socials begin at Bath CC, or in town and culminate in throwing some unbelievably good moves on a night out.
Our packed social schedule features annual events such as Snowball, Varsity vs Cardiff Met, Derby Day vs Bristol, the Oddballs 6's Charity Tournament and much much more throughout the year.
Charity
We take fundraising seriously for Movember, with each team completing challenges (and doing their best to grow a moustache) every November to raise money and awareness for men's health. A new addition to the calendar is the Oddballs Tournament at th end of the year, where we raised over £3000 pounds in the inaugural event, raising awareness about testicular cancer.
Golf
One benefit of joining our club is that we have heavily discounted membership to Lansdown Golf Club. Please contact the committee for further details.
