Student Elections Booklets (2026/27)
We’ve created two tailored guides to support students engaging in Student Union Elections this year:
-
Student Leadership Elections Booklet: For students involved in societies, sports teams, and other student-led groups. This guide includes key dates, election rules, grievance procedures, and how to get involved in your community’s leadership. Running for more than two roles in each elections requires the discretion of the DRO.
Please ensure you're using the correct booklet for your role or interest.
-
Student Officer Elections Booklet: For those interested in full-time Officer elected roles representing the wider student body. This guide covers nomination criteria, election rules, campaiging tips, grievance processes, and timelines specific to officer elections.
We also have an Acceptable Behaviours Framework for our Officer Elections, and guidance for SU Groups to endorse candidates in the Officer Elections only.
