Whether you've played for a club, in the park or never before, you have nothing to lose by coming along as we have teams that cater for all abilities. We are confident you will enjoy being part of the Women's football team and make great friendships along the way. The Performance Squad (First Team): The performance team is coached by Max Mishcon. The team compete in the BUCS Premier South League every Wednesday (the highest competitive league for university football). In the 2022-23 season the performance team placed 4th in the league reached the quater-finals of the National Championship.
The Second Team: The second team is coached by Joe Elliot. The team compete in the BUCS Western Tier 1 League every Wednesday. In the 2022-23 season the second team were crowned defending champions of the Western Conference Cup and crowned league winners, gaining promotion from the BUCS Western Tier 2.
The Third Team / Development Squad: The development team is lead by Captain Sarah Griffin alongside Aimee Ghotra. The team train twice a week and play regular friendly matches against colleges, university teams and local football clubs. The development team is a great pathway for players who have played before and want to break into BUCS football the 3s also may be used for social benefits as they are run under the same schedual as our BUCS teams making it a great way to get involved with University football. The development team are looking for friendlies throughout the year, so please get in contact with our women’s rep if you would like to arrange a fixture.
The Forth Team / Beginner Class: The beginner class is coached by TBC. The team train twice a week and play regular inter-house friendly matches against eachother and the development squad. The 4s is a great option for complete newcomers who would like to start playing football. The 4s also may be used for social benefits as they are run under the same schedual as our BUCS teams making it a great way to get involved with University football.
Commitment and performance within all teams may be rewarded with movement between squads.
