Who Are We?

The University of Bath Association Football and Futsal Club is a student sport group run and organised by a group of student committee members.

In the 2022/23 season, the club comprised of over 650 active members, a figure which has increased constantly for the past 10 years. These numbers were spread throughout:

  • 4 Male Representational Football Teams (BUCS)
  • 2 Female Representational Football Teams (BUCS)
  • 2 Male Representational Futsal Teams (BUCS)
  • 1 Female Representational Futsal Teams (BUCS)
  • 2 Female Development Team
  • 20 Inter Departmental Football Teams
  • 8 Inter Hall Football Teams
  • Multiple Social Futsal and 6-a-side Teams

Supported by the Department of Sport Development and Recreation and Students' Union Sport, the club has a strong ethos of player, coach and volunteer development, ensuring that whatever your involvement in Football and Futsal, you will have the opportunity to continue in your time here at the University of Bath.

Representational High Performance

The Men's, Women's and Futsal programmes are all able to offer high performance athletes support in a range of ways. For more information on this please contact the Head of Football Che Wilson, or Association Football and Futsal Chair: Hayden Morris.

Representational

The Men's, Women's and Futsal programmes all offer a number of opportunities to participate in representational Football and Futsal for the University of Bath against other universities on a Wednesday afternoon for 11-a-side and weekend for futsal.

Whilst the High Performance squads all represent the University of Bath in BUCS, we also have a number of further teams entered into BUCS. For more information on this please visit the Men's, Women's and Futsal sections of the site.

Competitive Recreational

We currently offer both an Inter-Department (IDFC) and Inter-Halls recreational football here at the University of Bath. Participating in this provides you with weekly competitive games within a league as well as training sessions for each team you play for.

Social

There are two social offers which are organised and ran weekly each semester, 6-a-side and futsal.

The social Futsal leagues are ran twice a week with a Monday and Thursday league by a to-be-confirmed coordinator. For more information please contact su-associationfootball@bath.ac.uk. 

There are four social 6-a-side leagues ran on a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. We hope to update this to also offer 6-a-side to women also. For more information, please contact the Football Club email.

What does it cost?

To play any level of Football or Futsal at the University of Bath you must have a £30 "All-Sports" Membership and a FREE Association Football and Futsal Membership (see left-hand side).

Anyone that plays any level of Representational Football must also pay £75 BUCS fee, also payable on the products pagePlease do not purchase this until confirmed as selected in a BUCS Squad.

Facilities

The Association Football and Futsal Club use the Sports Training Village at the University of Bath.
