SU Alumni Access Fund

The SU recognises the difficulties students face and how the impact of the cost of living could affect their engagement towards activities available whilst at university. The SU and the University of Bath’s Alumni Fund have joined up to create an access fund which allows students to gain financial support towards extra-curricular activities and opportunities delivered through the Students' Union. The fund will support students with their experiences, wellbeing, and personal development. This could include but is not limited to; attendance at an event in which the student is representing the University, a conference that they will gain knowledge and skills, or an item of equipment that is a necessity for their involvement in an activity. Funding can contribute towards, entry fees, transport costs, accommodation (non-residential) and much more.

A £5,000 fund is available to help students enhance and enrich their time at university. Students can apply in to the following categories:
Event/Conference/Competition attendance, up to £100
Essential equipment, up to £100
SU Group memberships
Social activities, up to £50

Note this is not a recurring grant and cannot be used for retrospective purchases, funding must be applied for and approved before any costs are incurred.

Who can apply?
Any student who is a member of a student group within the Students’ Union can apply once per academic year to help fund their involvement in extra-curricular activities. For students who seek funds towards SU Group membership, no existing group membership is required and a subsequent application within the academic year may be made for help with the above extra-curricular activities.
