About Us
The University of Bath Gymnastics Club is open to students of all levels of experience from complete beginners to seasoned competitors. In fact, most of our members had never done gymnastics before university.
We train three times a week. Twice a week at Baskerville's Gymnastics Center in Oldfield Park, and one S&C session on Campus.
Our Monday Coached Sessions are welcome to anyone, and consists of a warm up, followed by a rotation of skills on different equipment, and then a quick cool down. These sessions are run by qualified coaches who will walk you through different skills on a variety of apparatuses.
Our Wednesday Independent Sessions are better suited for more experienced gymnasts. These sessions are not coached and so gymnasts have the opportunity to more freely use the gym. If you're new to gymnastics please wait until you've been to a few sessions before attending.
Our Sunday S&C Sessions focus on body weight and movement exercises where you will be led through a programme of exercises by a student leader. These sessions complement our regular sessions by building strength to use in the gymnasium.
More information can be found in our FAQ, or send us a message on Instagram or Whatsapp.
Reasons to Join Us
Joining us gives you access to all training sessions and competitions/shows available. However, we are a very easy-going club and will not pressure you into anything, whether you are a seasoned gymnast, or are just starting. we will provide all the help you need, whether it is improving your handstands, or perfecting your backflips.
Joining also means you are invited to all of our socials, including themed nights out, cake & movie nights and trips to trampoline parks.
But let's all be honest, the biggest reason for you to join us is that we can teach you to do really cool things you can show off to your friends!
How to Join
To join us or any other sports club this year you will first need to purchase the SU sport membership for £35. This includes general equiptment hire, insurance, coaching and facility costs. You can purchase the SU sport membership HERE
