Alumni and Alumni Events
Given the nature of student martial arts clubs, it is no surprise that the University of Bath Karate Club has many Alumni spanning many decades, with many often returning to the University and subsequently reuniting with the club. This was evident with an Alumni event that took place on October 19th 2024, reuniting 55 years of Karate in Bath and reflecting the long legacy of this club.
The event was organised by Emeritus Professor Stan Kolaczkowski with the help of the University of Bath Karate Club, and successfully branched the Karate tree between past and present. A presentation, given by Professor Kolaczkowski, was followed by some demonstrations in the University Founder Hall, reflecting on the evolution of Karate between past and present.
As a club, we honour and acknowledge all Alumni who have spent time with us at the club, no matter for how long. If any Alumni are looking to organise any future reunion events, or would like to set up training sessions of any style, please do not hesitate to get in touch with the club through the club email.
