University of Bath Women's Lacrosse

The Women’s 1st team competes in the BUCS Southern Premiership 2 league. Despite hurdles of tough opposition in the last few years, we are super excited to get back on the pitch this year and bring our winning streak back.

Although previous experience in the ladies’ game is common, it is by no means essential or expected, and students with all levels of experience are welcome to join our club. For those who are new to the game or who have played only a little before, the development squad is perfect. The dev girls are a relaxed group who compete in local friendlies and train up to twice a week, but you're free to attend as much as you want. Many girls who start in this team go on to play for the first or second team later on.

Whether you're an experienced player, keen to take your skills to the next level or just want to play a sport for fun, the lacrosse club has something for everyone. Please do get in contact if you have any questions or would like more information.

For BUCS players, training times are below while matches are played on Wednesdays.

  • Monday Fitness 7-8am
  • Monday Training 8-10pm
  • Sunday Training 3-5pm

Pre-Season

Pre-Season consists of two weeks of training to develop fitness and stick skills, combined with friendly games. Amongst this,  we will have team-bonding and social events organised by our social secretary, Ellie.

Preseason is being held from 11th-22nd September. If you have any questions or are interested in attending,  please contact our Women's 1st Team Captain, Larissa (Larry) Gaunt (lg862@bath.ac.uk). Accommodation for incoming freshers can be organised between the team, so no need to worry about not having access to halls yet! Please get in touch if you’re interested in attending.

First Team Captain: Larissa Gaunt (lg862@bath.ac.uk)

Second Team Captain: Freja Tellefsen (ft456@bath.ac.uk) & Jess Power-Piggott (jpp46@bath.ac.uk)
