The Makerspace is open weekdays 9am–7pm.
Feel free to come round during our opening times to visit the space and have a chat with a makerspace volunteer to learn more about how we work.
Useage of makerspace and potentially high-risk equipment such as 3D printers, the soldering station requires a makerspace induction. Useage of makerspace equipment without a makerspace volunteer present in the space is not allowed. The space should be staffed during all opening hours, but if urgent equipment use is required and nobody is around please send a message on our discord or whatsapp.
3D printing is priced at 8p per gram for prints under 70g and each additonal gram after 70 adds 6p per gram. The makerspace is non-for-profit and this price helps cover 3d printer maintenance costs, and fund other equipment purchases for the space. We take payments from 2pm - 7pm on thursday with our card reader (soon to be permanently in the space).
For more information on makerspace useage procedures please attend our weekly induction session on Mondays 17:30–18:00. If you are unable to attend this session please let us know and we will schedule something seperately.
