The Makerspace is open to all staff and students from 12pm to 5pm on weekdays during term time. While we're open, feel free to come and visit us here, have a chat with a volunteer, and learn more about our community & space.
Usage of our equipment such as 3D printers, the soldering stations or hand tools requires an induction which you can book on this page. It's quick and easy, and typically scheduled on Mondays from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. You can also ask for one any time we are open, but we cannot guarantee we will have anyone available at the time.
Please do not use any equipment unless a volunteer is present. The space should be staffed during all opening hours, but if urgent equipment use is required and nobody is around please send a message on WhatsApp or Discord.
We are happy to announce that our 3D printing is now priced at 4p per gram! The Makerspace is non-for-profit and this price helps us break even on filament, maintenance and equipment costs. We have a permanent card reader in the space, so we can take payment upfront.
