The Makerspace is open to all staff and students from 9am to 7pm on weekdays during term time.
While we're open, feel free to come round to visit the space and have a chat with a volunteer to learn more about how we work. Find us with this guide!
Useage of our equipment such as 3D printers, the soldering stations or hand tools requires an induction. Please do not use any equipment unless a volunteer is present. The space should be staffed during all opening hours, but if urgent equipment use is required and nobody is around please send a message on Whatsapp.
Thankfully, inductions are quick and easy. To get one, we hold induction sessions where we make time to introduce people properly on Mondays from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. You can also ask for one any time we are open, but we cannot guarantee we will have anyone available at the time.
We are happy to annoucne that our 3D printing is now priced at 4g per gram! The Makerspace is non-for-profit and this price helps us break even on filament, maintenance and equipment costs. We have a permanent card reader in the space, so we can take payment upfront.
