Boost employability and wellbeing – become a volunteering project leader

V Team – the University of Bath’s student volunteer group - have started recruiting Project Leaders for their brilliant volunteering projects for the next academic year. Students will have the chance to develop their leadership, people and project management skills as well as receive Project Leader training from the SU.

Here are the projects which need next year’s leaders:

V Run – Organise the volunteer support for the 3 big running events of the student calendar - Santa Dash, Colour Run and Bath Half.

V Nature – Run volunteering sessions in the outdoors, such as planting tree saplings and conserving the parks in Bath, often in partnership with More Trees BANES

V Repair – Help host repair cafes with Share and Repair to increase sustainability within the university by having staff and students bring broken items to be repaired free of charge.

V Clean – Coordinate events aimed at keeping our community clean such as city litter picks with the Student Community Partnership, or a beach clean day out with the Whale and Dolphin Conservation charity.

V Schools – Lead volunteering with local primary schools, such as organising a Christmas party or an Easter Egg Hunt, which is always loved by children.

V Code – In collaboration with Mighty Girls, support girls to consider a career in tech and STEM subjects by teaching them how to code. 

V Collect – Help collect donations for Bath’s Royal United Hospital (RUH) shoebox and food appeals or distribute Christmas/Easter card packs for volunteers to make, all for members of the community in need.

V Heart Start – Coordinate trained student volunteers who will work together to deliver basic first aid sessions to students and staff.  

Dr V (Doctoral students only) – Lead volunteering opportunities with other doctoral students.

V Graduate (Postgrad students only) – Organise events and volunteering opportunities for postgraduate students.
