Environmental and Human rights society, running events and campaigning to make the UoB more sustainable and equitable across all areas
What We Do
People & Planet is the largest student network in Britain campaigning for action on world poverty, human rights & the environmental crisis. People & Planet Bath is The University of Bath's branch of the national network. Our flagship campaign focuses on getting the university to ban Fossil Fuel, Mining and Weapons companies from coming to the careers fairs and asking the university to adopt an ethical careers policy. In 25/26 we also lead a joint campaign with UCU and Unison, asking the university to divest from fossil fuels and military weapons. In previous years we have organised a climate protest, released a sustainability podcast, promoted plant-based diets within the university, and got Ecosia (a search engine that plants trees) installed on university computers!

At our weekly meetings in 2025/26 we will be holding lots of discussions around social and environmental issues, as well as making progress with our new and continuing projects that are helping to make a difference at the university and hosting lots of fun socials.
