Welcome to The Students’ Union (The SU)
If you’re studying at the University of Bath as an Associate Student (ISC), you are warmly welcomed into The SU which is a diverse and exciting student community.
As an Associate Student (ISC) at the University of Bath, you’ll be part of our vibrant campus life and have access to a wide range of activities, spaces, and opportunities to get involved.
What is The SU?
The SU is the collective voice of students and a hub for student life. Led by students, for students, it works to ensure students are heard, supported and empowered. Through representation, activities, volunteering, campaigns, advice and support and social opportunities, The SU helps create a sense of belonging and enhances the overall student experience.
Your Membership
You will be an Associate Student (ISC) Member of The SU. Your data will be shared between The SU and the University, and this will allow you to gain access to memberships whilst also allowing us to set up your membership to the necessary access needs. Your privacy matters to us; our Privacy Notice sets out, in clear and accessible terms, what information we collect, why we use it, and the steps we take to safeguard your rights throughout your time as an Associate Student (ISC) of the SU.
We also follow a comprehensive Data Protection Policy, which explains how we share data with the University, handle and secure personal information, the responsibilities of those who work with your data, and the rights you can rely on throughout your time as an Associate Student (ISC) of the SU.
This means:
You are part of The SU community while studying at the University of Bath International Study Centre. Our priority is to ensure that every student enjoys a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment. To help create a fair and positive experience for everyone, the same behaviour, safety, and disciplinary policies apply to Associate Students (ISC).
The SU works closely with both the University and International Study Centre (ISC) to support your wellbeing and safeguarding needs, ensuring you have access to the guidance and support available throughout your time here. In short: you are part of the community, and we’re here to help you have a great student experience.
Associate Students (ISC) Membership Access:

Student groups
Become a member of our student groups including, arts, sports, societies, media, diversity & support, volunteering and fundraising. Being part of a student group opens up a world of opportunity for you, whether that’s gaining new skills to help boost your employability, experience a new activity or continue a hobby you love. Our groups have so many opportunities for you to make lifelong friends and memories.
There are also a range of trips across the Uk that you can explore.
Please Note:

- Standard fees or requirements apply.

Attend events
Join a wide range of SU Events, from social nights, cultural celebrations and activities that allow you to unwind and experience new things. If you’re U18 years of age relevant restrictions will be in place in line with licensing laws.
You will not be able to attend any ticketed events prior to your ISC start date and once you have fully registered, this includes Freshers' Week events.
Use The SU spaces
Relax in the Student Centre or socialise in The Plug by joining our weekly events or by enjoying a game of pool in the games area. The Tub hosts club nights and one-off events throughout the year where you can experience a range of entertainment. The Corner café is in The Edge where you’ll find a light and airy space to enjoy coffee and pastries. The Edge delivers performance and rehearsal space for budding new musicians and artists or for those perfecting their creativity. Enjoy campus life in our shared spaces, on and off campus.
