Indoor Climbing
When do we climb?
The main club climbing day is Wednesday in the afternoon/evening. Some club members also climb on Monday evenings in Frome (2 for 1 entry), for which we use the WhatsApp group to organise transport. However, there is generally someone climbing at one of the centres most days, so check the WhatsApp group to see where others are going!
Where do we climb?
In Bath we unfortunately do not have a climbing wall but we do have a climbing training facility called LUMA. For more details have a look at their instagram (@lumaclimbinggym) or their website.
There are many brilliant climbing walls surrounding us, six in Bristol, one in Chippenham and one in Frome you can see some info on these below:

Inclusive climbing
Our local climbing centres host a number of regular clubs, sessions and socials that you may be interested in. More information can be found here: Inclusive Climbing.
Outdoor Climbing
The Club takes trips out to a variety of different UK crags, e.g. Peaks trip in October, Portland and Summer trip which changes location annually - check the Trip Reports for a full rundown of what we get up to! In Easter, we run a big trip to Fontainbleau in France, which is one of the most popular bouldering destinations in Europe.

Competition Climbing
SWUCCS- South West University Climbing Competition Series
We compete as a University in SWUCCS, which is 3 inclusive bouldering rounds hosted in centres around the South West. Anyone can signup to take part, we do not host trials for this. Lifts to the rounds can be organised on our Whatsapp community and information about tickets is released closer to the date of the competition!
Round 1- Southampton, Boulder Shack- 17th October 2026
Round 2- Poole, The Project- 14th November 2026
Round 3- Exeter, Boulder Exe- 6th March 2027
BUCS Climbing
We also compete in the BUCS annual climbing competition in Sheffield, Climbing Works (13th February 2027). The team for this is formed via trials hosted by BUMC in the first semester (location TBC) where the top 6 males and top 6 females are selected for the team. The competition is one day with general climbing slots during the day and finals in the evening!
Local Competitions
Finally, we can often be found at local comps in our centres, including LUMA's leagues and TCA/Flashpoint/Frome series which we usually advertise on our Climbing chat and entries can be purchased from their own websites.
