There are a wide range of roles that are up for election each year, at varying level of responsibility. Anyone considering a nomination should familiarise themselves with the Election Rules. You can also find out when the next election is on our Election Timetables.

Diversity & Support Exec

Diversity and Support Executive Committee 2026/27

The Diversity & Support Exec is responsible for supporting, representing, and coordinating the Diversity & Support groups. Sport Exec

Sport Executive Committee 2026/27

The SU Sport Executive Committee meets every 2 to 3 weeks during term time with the purpose of developing the offer of Students’ Union Sport. There are specific and non-specific duties which vary from financial management to running major events such as Varsity and Snowball. These positions offer great personal development both within sports management and with more general skills.

Department Rep Semester 2 Election 26/27

Department Reps amplify student voice at the departmental level, helping build strong academic communities. You’ll gather feedback from Academic Reps, chair SSLCs, attend key meetings, and escalate issues to Faculty Reps when needed. Senate Rep

Senate Rep Election 26/27

The Senate Rep is elected by students to represent their voice on the Senate committee. The Senate Rep sits on University Senate along with the SU President, Education Officer and Postgraduate Officer. They are also a member and chair of the SU Academic Exec.
