Taster Days 🛩
For first-time flyers, we have arranged taster days with our host club. These days are an excellent introduction to gliding and give you a real taste of what the sport is all about!
For your taster flight, you will be towed up to 2,000ft, giving you a wonderful view and plenty of time in the air.

Note
Registering your interest does not guarantee a taster flight on the next flying weekend. Availability depends on the weather and the number of people already in the queue. Flight time varies with conditions too. The maximum for a taster flight is 40 minutes, though you may not always reach that. A 2,000 ft aerotow typically gives you plenty of altitude and a great experience regardless!
Prices 💷
You will be charged a fixed price of £50. Taster flights normally cost over £100, so going through the University is significantly cheaper!

Between 45 kg / 7 stone and 102 kg / 16 stone

Purchased in advance via the SU shop.
Training Programme Pilots!
If you are on our training programme (Newbie to Solo, Solo to SPL, or already licensed), this ticket is not for you. Training programme members should manage their gliding account here instead.
