Charity Work

Every year UOBHC shows our caring and compassionate side by supporting a local charity. Teams are encouraged to hold a charity event a year, which has been done previously by taking part in Movember and "wear pink" in order to raise awareness and money for male health and breast cancer research. As a club we hold a charity hockey event (Chockey) for hockey members and non-hockey members where all proceeds are donated to a charity of our choice.

We have supported a variety of charities, including Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases (RNHRD) and South West Action for Learning and Living Our Way (SWALLOW). We have raised money by running the Bath Half Marathon and holding our annual charity hockey tournament, raising over £15,000!

In 2023 Jessie May was voted our Charity for our Chockey Event, raising over £750 from ticket sales. Thank you to everyone who got involved!
