BUCS Hockey
Our top 4 Men's teams and top 4 Women's teams compete in BUCS (British Universities and Colleges Sport), giving a wide range of players to compete against opposing universities for a chance to win leagues and cup competitions.
Current
Our Men's 1s compete in the highest possible league, the Men's Premier (National), competing with the best universities across the country. Our Ladies' 1s compete in the Ladies' Premier (South) and will be seeking promotion back into the National Premier league after winning BUCS Gold in the Vase last year.
Our Men's Couples* compete in Men's Premier (South), finishing a strong 6th place in 2025-26; another year consolidating their position in the league after being promoted into it in 2022-23. Following promotion last season, the Women's Couples* will also now be competing in the Ladies' Premier (South).
Our Men's 3s compete in Western 2B and will be aiming for promotion this year to close the gap between them and the Men's couples. Our Ladies' 3s will compete in Western tier 1 following the Ladies' 4s outstanding season that saw them be promoted from tier 2 and subsequent swapping.
Our Men's 4s also compete in Western 2B, so will enjoy matches against the Men's 3s. The Ladies' 4s will be looking to make it two promotions in two, as they compete in Western tier 2 this season. This clearly shows the strength in depth of our club across all BUCS teams, and we hope to celebrate more promotion success in the coming season.
