National Competitions
Leeds UKC
Every year we compete at the University Kickboxing Championships, the UK’s largest student martial arts competition, bringing together nearly 300 fighters from over 20 universities. The event is a true highlight of the university martial arts calendar, with preliminaries fought on mats and grand finals held in a packed nightclub under the lights of a kickboxing ring.
Bath Kickboxing has a proud record of success at this national event. In 2024, four of our members reached the finals, with two crowned champions. In 2025, we continued that tradition as one of our fighters battled through to become a UK Student Kickboxing Champion.
From first-timers to advanced fighters, our members have the opportunity to compete at this incredible stage each year, showcasing the strength, dedication, and spirit of Bath Kickboxing.

University Championships MTGB
The British University Championships is the premier national stage for student Muay Thai, bringing together university clubs from across the country to compete under fully sanctioned Amateur Muay Thai rules. With divisions for novices, experienced fighters, and even a new Freshers Pathway Division, the competition ensures opportunities for everyone to step into the ring.
In 2024, Bath Kickboxing & Muay Thai proudly secured a 6th place overall finish, with strong performances across multiple categories. This result highlights the depth of our fighters and the dedication of our club to performing at the highest level on the national stage.

Annual Club Awards
As well as brining home awards from across the country, every year we give our members a chance to take part in our intra-club awards. We value everyone's hard work whether it be for Fighter of the Year or Heart and Soul of the club.

SU Awards
Event of the Year
Our annual Fight Night was nominated for Event of the Year at the 2024/25 Students’ Union Awards. This nomination recognises the incredible effort of our fighters, coaches, and committee in creating one of the most exciting events in the University calendar. We are proud that the hard work and passion that goes into organising Fight Night has been recognised at such a high level, and we look forward to making each year bigger and better.
Inclusivity
The Inclusivity Award is awarded by the Students’ Union to student groups who have shown a commitment to ensuring all students, no matter their background, are welcomed and able to join in their activities.
The University of Bath Sanda Kickboxing Club has proudly achieved the Inclusivity Award in 2017 and 2018, and we will continue to work hard to ensure this success is sustained in the years to come.
If you think there is anything that we could be doing better as a club to remove barriers and improve inclusivity at training, socials and events please let our Welfare and Inclusivity Officer know.
