SSTO / ISTO
SSTO/ISTO stands for Scottish/Irish Student Trampoline Open. It is an extended weekend of competition with a social every single night for four nights. It's basically a group holiday with a bit of trampolining thrown in.
What to Expect
The competition is typically Friday-Sunday, with socials Thursday night to Sunday night. We usually fly up together Thursday and come home on the Monday.
We will all stay together in an AirBnB not far from the competition.
A typical consists of: Breakfast, walk together to the competition for the day, get back and eat dinner, get ready for pres, pres, go out to the club, get back at 3am to do it all again.
There will be a lot of alcohol and drinking throughout this trip and we don't recommend it to people who may be uncomfortable around alcohol/people drinking, although there is absolutely no requirement to drink or go to the socials.
The Competition
The competition is slightly different but will feel familiar. The structure of the day will be identical to other competitions but the routines will be slightly different. It is also much more relaxed, with no pressure at all. It is a very social competition and the main focus is the socials.
The Social Side
Every social will be a drinking social on this trip. This doesn't mean there is a requirement to drink but the venues will typically be pubs/clubs with lots of drunk people.
There is a social each night Thursday to Sunday each with its own theme. We will choose as a club how to dress and what people are expected to wear. This information will be communicated in the weeks before the trip.
We will also do pre-drinks in the AirBnb, it is not compulsory but can be a very fun time even for those not drinking.
Cost
Around £200 - £300
Includes all costs: transfers, flights, accommodation, competition entry, social tickets, food, drinks etc.
