What We Do
Welcome to the University of Bath's Latin and Ballroom webpage!
We learn dance styles such as Waltz, Quickstep, Cha Cha Cha and Jive. We are a very sociable club as we meet each week for lessons, with practice time, social dancing and socials on top of this.
Throughout the academic year, we attend multiple inter-varsity competitions across the country! These competitions have levelled categories, so you'll only be competeing against dancers with similar levels of experience. Highlights include BathComp and Blackpool Winter Gardens. We also run internal mock-competitions to help everyone feel ready for the real thing.
What We Offer
Lessons
We have weekly lessons available at multiple levels with our professional coaches. We also run sequence dancing once a week, and have an additional technique class to focus on things such as footwork and frame.
Socials and Events
We run a huge variety of socials throughout the year that benefit everyone! We also run a social dancing session every week for all members to dance together.
Our biggest events are Winter Ball, Spring Ball and Strictly Come Bath!
Practice Space
We have practice spaces available to club menbers every day during the week, on and off campus, so you can practice at a time that suits your timetable!
