Nicolette Brown: Piano and Violin Tuition


NICOLETTE BROWN ARCM, Dip. NCOS

Nicolette will be teaching on Mondays in the Music Studio and Thursdays in the Ensemble Room.

Monday lessons will begin on Monday 14 February 2022. Thursday lessons will begin on Thursday 24 February 2022.

You can purchase a slot for in person lessons with Nicolette or lessons can be arranged to teach students who are abroad, anywhere in the UK or on campus. If you are interested in Virtual Lessons, please email su-arts@bath.ac.uk for more information.

Violin - Beginners to Advanced standard
Piano - Beginners to Grade 5 standard

Nicolette is a highly trained musician with over 30 years’ performing and teaching experience. She studied violin and piano at the Royal College of Music and then spent a year at the National Centre for Orchestral Studies, Goldsmiths’ College, London. Her successful career includes positions as assistant principal first violin in the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, principal first violin in the Bournemouth Sinfonietta and she has worked freelance with orchestras such as the London Mozart Players, Orchestra of St John’s, Smith Square, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and BBC National Orchestra of Wales. She has performed all over the UK and abroad. Nicolette has always had a love of chamber music and has given many solo and chamber performances including at the Liverpool Cathedral Festival, Fishguard Festival and performances for Channel 4 television. She enjoys preparing students for exams and performances but is equally happy to help those who simply want to play for enjoyment. She is friendly, patient and extremely dedicated to her pupils’ development. Lessons are adapted to the individual needs of each student. 

Since March 2020 Nicolette has been giving lessons online.
