The Punch

Bath University Student Theatre presents the English premiere: "The Punch", translated from the classical German play "Die Feuerzangenbowle". This exciting comedy is set in 1920's Germany Authorities".
Pfeiffer, a young and already famous novelist from Berlin, was educated by a private tutor and has no idea about the pranks and fun of going to a real school. He pretends to be eighteen again, moves to a small town to finish his A-levels where he meets all sorts of oddball professors and small town characters, falls in love with the headmaster's daughter and gets to experience what he had missed.

Do not shout.
Do not run.
Do not panic.
Do not think, do not push and do not leave.

This new work devised by the Bath University Student Theatre company, working alongside director Matt Kingscote, looks at the daily restraints imposed on each of us throughout our lives.
Examining anxiety, paranoia and loss of control, Do Not Drink Coffee is a dark, occasionally comic, contemporary work drawing from both modern life and fictional worlds. Where one ends and the other begins is for you to decide.
