All members of SU Sport are entitled to borrow a variety of equipment for free.
You can hire equipment with your Library Card and a paid SU Sport Membership or Equipment Fee. Just follow the instructions below.
- Purchase SU Sport Membership or SU Sport Equipment Hire. For more information on all our memberships click here SU Sport Memberships.
- Wait 3-5 working days whilst we add and process your details to the system
- Book your sporting facility and take your library card to the reception of the STV or Founders Hall to sign out equipment.
You can hire the following equipment from the Sports Training Village:

- Tennis Rackets
- Footballs
- Volleyballs
- Netballs
- Basketballs
You can hire the following equipment from the Founders' Hall:
- Badminton Rackets
- Basketballs
- Squash Rackets
You can also hire the following equipment from The Box Office in the Edge Building:
Wednesdays between 13:00-13.30 during term time. All collections and returns will be done during this time frame at this location. Please make sure you bring your library card. If you have any further questions, then please contact subathsport@bath.ac.uk.

Broken or Missing Equipment
If equipment is returned broken or not returned, SU Sport will be informed, and you will be required to pay the cost of the item. You will also be banned from hiring equipment until payment has been made. Failing to pay will result in further action being taken, such as disciplinary action.
Please treat the equipment with the care you would give it as if it were your own, so that others can enjoy it too.
The Sports Department manage all our Sports Facilities so students must adhere to their policies - check the Team Bath website for more information.
Veo Camera bookings
We have two Veo Cameras and tripods available for club committees to hire out, of which can be booked through Room Bookings. Clubs need to use their club mailbox to log in. Any problems around logging in please contact subathsport@bath.ac.uk as we will probably need to give the club permission to access.
When making a booking you are agreeing to the below terms and conditions, so please read very carefully.
Terms & Conditions
- Only committee members or captains of the club can book out and collect the VEO Camera
- Cameras and tripods must be returned before/on the time and date requested otherwise we may not lend them out to your club again.
- If the camera/tripod sustains any damage, the damage will be assessed and an appropriate fund to fix/replace the camera will come out of your club’s account
- If the camera/tripod is lost/stolen a possibility of up to £2000 may be taken from your club account to replace
- All members in the video must consent to filming before recording takes place.
- Footage is your responsibility after filming takes place.
- If a BUCS game is being recorded, footage must not be posted on social media or shared to people outside of the club as BUCS have sole ownership over game footage.
- The camera must be returned fully charged, failing to charge may result in the club not being allowed to book it out in the future
Table Bookings
Sports Clubs can also book tables through Room Bookings. Clubs need to use their club mailbox to log in. Any problems around logging in please contact subathsport@bath.ac.uk as we will probably need to give the club permission to access
Tables are available to hire 11:00-15:00 and are to be used either outside the SU or Library.
