Department of Sports Development & Recreation

The Department Of Sports Development & Recreation is the university department which allocates and maintains the Sports Facilities.

The Department for Sport (DSDR) at the University operates all the facilities and services available under the Team Bath brand, including coaching, volunteering and development opportunities for students. Team Bath is accessible to all. We organise activities at the Sports Training Village, the Founders Hall and across a range of outdoor facilities. If you want to find out more visit:  teambath.com. The SU Sport Officer and the Department work closely together

Scholarships

There is a scholarship scheme within the Sports Department that is able to help talented athletes who play sport at an exceptionally high level and a Dual Career support system for those studying and competing. For more information on these scholarships pages, check out the Sports Department scholarship pages.

The budget for Sport at The SU does not cover participation in national or international competitions - for example selection for an English Universities side or for The World University Games.

There is a funding pot held by the Sports Department, provided by University Alumni, to which high performance athletes can submit a bid to help with international events. For further details please email Katie Payne on klp53@bath.ac.uk
